– Workplace Wellness Summit –

Event Description: Workplace Wellness Summit brings area business leaders together for a morning of networking and education. Local leaders share best practices to improve workplace wellness programs, lower health care costs, and increase productivity.

Date: April 2020

Leadership Committee

Venue Coordinator Assist in locating venue. Coordinate all communication with venue including necessary contract and payment, room set up, AV needs. Day of Event place any directional signage, information signage. 1 position available

Time CommitmentJanuary- April 2020.  Approximately 4-6 hours a month with majority of work in January and April.

Qualifications: Experience working with event coordinators, some knowledge of area venues, strong communication skills, space planning skills

Volunteer for Venue Coordinator

Program Co-Coordinators – Identify keynote and breakout facilitators. Gather bio and head-shot photos. Coordinate any handouts, AV needs etc.  Arrange for speaker gifts and handwritten thank you card.  2 positions available

Time CommitmentJanuary- April 2020. Approximately 4-6 hours a month with majority of work in February and March.

Qualifications: Experience working with health and wellness coordinators/human resource directors, some knowledge of local speakers, strong communication skills, space planning skills

Volunteer for Program Co-Coordinators

Hospitality Co-Coordinators – Arrange for continental breakfast, lunch and snacks for attendees, volunteers, and vendors.  2 positions available

Time Commitment January- April 2020  Approximately 4-6 hours a month with majority of work in March and April.

Qualifications: Experience acquiring food and drink donations, experience in healthy hospitality, some knowledge of caterers, strong communication skills

Volunteer for Hospitality Co-Coordinators

Vendor Coordinator – Contact area businesses and organizations to host a booth at expo that supports health and well-being in the workplace. Organize space for vendors. Fill swag bags with promotional items.  1 position available

Time CommitmentJanuary- April 2020.  Approximately 4-6 hours a month with majority of work in February and March.

Qualifications: Experience coordinating vendors in expo setting, some knowledge of appropriate providers, strong communication skills, space planning skills

Volunteer for Vendor Coordinator

Registration Coordinator – create Eventbrite registration for event. Draft pre-and post event emails to attendees. Draft pre-and post-event surveys to attendees. Assemble nametags for attendees. Manage Registration Volunteers during check in at event.  1 position available.

Time CommitmentJanuary- April 2020.  Approximately 4-6 hours a month with majority of work in January and April.

Qualifications: some experience with Eventbrite. Strong written communication skills, some experience in survey creations, some experiences managing other volunteers

Room Facilitators – introduce speakers, run A/V for speakers, distribute handouts (as needed) – 6 positions

– Walk to Stop Heroin Volunteer Opportunities –

Event description: The Walk to Stop Heroin connects St. Charles County residents from all walks of life.  The purpose is to bring awareness to the Heroin and Substance Abuse epidemic in St. Charles County through positive, hope-filled interactions.  This event provides very meaningful ways for area businesses and organizations to connect with the citizens of St. Charles County to end the epidemic of heroin and the life ending results it is having on our community.

Date: May 2, 2020

Benefits of Volunteering for this Event:

    1. Be a part of larger solution to end the heroin epidemic in St. Charles County
    2. Counteract the effects of depression, stress, anger and anxiety in your own life by volunteering
    3. Help build a generation that does not the pain and devastation of heroin.
